What is a domain name, and how much do they cost?
A domain name is the address that people use to find your website... for example, our domain name is www.diynz.com. Domain names must be unique, so you will need to find a domain name that has not already been taken. We do not sell Domain names, but highly recommend IServe for domain name registration. Costs vary per service provider, but expect to pay between $35 to $70 a year.
Do I need a domain name?
You do not have to have a domain name, but it does look more proffesional. We can provide you with a Free subdomain... this is an address that uses our domain name, but points to your website... for example.. yoursite.diynz.com
If I want to change the look of my website, do I have to start again?
Not at all... all you have to do is to use the menu options to change the style of your website, and then choose from one of the many templates
What is paypal?
PayPal is a trusted online service that allows for secure credit card transactions and acts as a middleman between you and us. We dont need to know your credit details
Do I have to pay by credit card?
If you would rather pay by cheque or bank deposit, then let us know and we can provide you with the details
Can I get a custom template to suit my business?
You sure can... Based on the complexity of the design, prices start at a one off fee of $50. It will be a template that is unique to you that we will not give to anybody else
Are you able to help with setting up my site?
If you are having trouble using the tool, then we are only to happy to help you on your way as part of our service. If you need us to do any actual work on your website for you, then there is a charge of $25 per half hour.
How much disk space do I need?
Most websites require less than 5mb to store their content. The more images you have the more space you will use.... but 10mb is ample.... 50mb is heaps!!!
I already have a webhost, can I use them?
So long as they give you FTP access, then yes you can.
Do the paid accounts come with email?
Email accounts are included if you have your own domain name ( eg.. www.yourname.co.nz )
The Basic+ account comes with 5 pop mail accounts and up to 20 forwarding accounts
The Super account comes with 10 pop mail accounts and up to 20 forwarding accounts
